Why I Made This Blog (and All the Resources) Free

Because healing shouldn’t cost you your sanity—or your paycheck.

Let’s be real: the world is already expensive. Life feels like one giant subscription service you didn’t sign up for. Rent. Therapy. Groceries that cost more than your car. Emotional breakdowns that apparently aren’t covered by insurance (rude). I didn’t want Becoming U Wellness to be another thing behind a paywall.

So when I sat down to build this blog again, I made a decision: Let’s make this free. All of it. The stories. The resources. The letters. The soulful reflections. The grounding rituals. The guides. The tears and breakthroughs. All. Of. It.

Why?

Because I’ve been in those moments—the ones where you feel like you’re unraveling at 2 a.m., Googling “how to stop overthinking everything ever,” hoping to find a little light in the dark. I know what it’s like to want support but not know where to look. Or to feel like healing is only available to people who can afford the co-pay or the coaching package or the latest self-help workbook that promises to fix you in 5 easy steps.

But here’s the thing: You’re not broken. You’re becoming. And you shouldn’t have to swipe a credit card to feel seen.

I created this blog because I believe everyone deserves access to tools that help them come home to themselves. I believe in soft landings. In honest storytelling. In free PDFs that remind you how powerful you are. In love letters to your past self. In blog posts that say, “Hey, you’re not alone—and no, you’re not the only one who spiraled over a text message.”

And yes—it takes time to make all this. Hours of writing, editing, uploading, formatting (why does Canva hate me??), and whispering to my WiFi router to please just hold on while I upload one more resource. But I don’t do it for profit—I do it for purpose.

I do it because I actually care.

I care about the 17-year-old girl who just realized she doesn’t have to be perfect to be loved. I care about the mom on her lunch break, exhausted but still trying. I care about the person in recovery, rebuilding their life piece by piece. I care about you—whoever you are—because I know what it’s like to feel lost and just need one honest voice to say, “You’re gonna be okay.”

That’s why this blog will always be free moving forward. And if it’s ever helped you—made you pause, made you laugh, made you cry in a good way (or an ugly way, no judgment)—I just want to say thank you. Your presence here matters. Your healing matters. And your support, whether that’s reading a post, sharing it with a friend, or donating a few bucks to keep this thing going, means more than I can say.

But even if you never spend a dime here, you’re still welcome. You’re still worthy. You’re still part of this community. Because Becoming U Wellness was never about selling healing. It’s about reminding you that you already have everything you need to grow.

Healing isn’t a product. It’s a process. And here? It’s free.

With so much gratitude (and at least three half-drank iced coffees),

Jackie 💛
