Come as you are. Stay as long as you need.
Welcome to the messy, beautiful, becoming.
Hi, I’m Jackie—founder of Becoming U Wellness, therapist, writer, mental health advocate, and big believer in the power of becoming.
This brand was born from my own journey of healing—one that’s been anything but linear. I created Becoming U because I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by anxiety, unsure of who you are, and desperate for something—anything—to make the noise quiet down. For a long time, I searched for peace outside of myself. Now, I know that healing begins when we start coming home to who we really are.
Through my work as a therapist, I’ve sat with people in their most vulnerable moments. But I’ve also sat with myself in mine. And somewhere in between, I realized we all just want to feel seen, understood, and reminded that we’re not alone. Becoming U is my love letter to that truth.
This space is for the overthinkers, the feelers, the perfectionists, the people-pleasers—the ones who are just trying their best. It’s for anyone who’s ready to let go of who they were told to be and start becoming who they really are.
I’m currently pursuing my doctorate, building on a strong academic foundation that includes undergraduate degrees from the University of Dayton and a Master’s degree from Lesley University. I’m also a Certified Professional Life Coach (CPLC), trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), and a nationally credentialed Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). These certifications allow me to support others through an integrated lens that blends therapeutic insight, behavioral strategies, and coaching techniques—meeting people where they are, and empowering them to grow into where they want to be.
Everything here—whether it's a journal prompt, a soft hoodie, or a piece of writing that reminds you you're not alone—is created with heart, honesty, and deep gratitude. Becoming U is more than a brand. It’s a reminder that healing doesn’t have to look a certain way. It just has to feel like you.
You deserve to feel safe in your own skin.
You deserve softness, support, and joy.
You deserve to become.
And I’m so glad you’re here.
We’re not here to fix you—we’re here to remind you that you were never broken.
Our Philosophy
At Becoming U Wellness, we believe that emotional wellness is not a luxury—it’s the foundation for growth, learning, and connection. Healing is not linear, and it is never about perfection. It’s about progress, about learning to pause in the middle of the storm, and about reminding ourselves and our students that who we are is enough.
We know that children can’t access academics until they feel safe in their bodies and relationships. We know educators can’t show up fully when they are running on empty. And we know that schools can’t thrive when wellness is an afterthought instead of a priority.
Our philosophy is simple:
Every emotion is valid. We don’t rush kids—or adults—through their feelings; we guide them with compassion.
Regulation comes before learning. A calm nervous system is the soil where growth takes root.
Small practices create big change. A breath, a reset, a moment of connection—done consistently—shifts entire cultures.
Wellness is communal. Healing happens in relationship. When educators model self-regulation, students learn to trust their own.
Progress, not perfection. We celebrate the messy middle, the small wins, and the ongoing journey of becoming.
This philosophy informs everything we do—our clinical work, our professional development, our writing, and the Becoming U movement itself.

Fun Facts About Me
I’m just a human doing her best like everyone else. Here are a few fun and honest things about me:
Christmas is my favorite holiday. I don’t care how old I get—I will always light up at twinkle lights and holiday music in October.
I’m currently pursuing my doctorate in mental health. I’ve got an undergrad in English & Communications, a Master’s in Education, and I still think some of life’s best lessons come from lived experience.
I’m a Certified Life Coach, Registered Behavior Technician, and trained in Mental Health First Aid. Titles are nice—but I believe what really matters is how we show up for people.
I talk a lot (and fast), laugh loudly, and feel everything deeply. Some call it chaotic—I call it passionate.
My favorite place is anywhere I can write, rest, or help someone feel seen. That might be in a journal, at a kitchen table, or in a cozy hoodie with a quote on the front.
I created Becoming U Wellness because I needed a space like this during the hardest chapters of my life. Now, it’s a place where I get to share tools, stories, and reminders that none of us are doing this alone.
Whether you’re 18 or 80, healing is always possible. And no, you don’t have to have it all figured out to start.
My Favs Right Now
“The Comfort Book” by Matt Haig
Like a warm hug in book form. Little reminders that it’s okay to just be—no productivity required.
“On Being” with Krista Tippett
Gentle, grounding conversations that make you feel smarter and softer at the same time.
An iced vanilla chai tea latte with oat milk (bonus points if I drink it while laying in a hoodie I probably haven’t washed in days).
