November: The Month of Becoming

There’s something about November that always feels like coming home—to myself, to my truth, to everything I’ve become. Maybe it’s the way the air smells like reflection and renewal. Maybe it’s because it’s my birthday month and I’ve always felt that extra bit of magic in the air. But this year, November means even more.

Because three years ago this month, Becoming U Wellness was born.

What started as an idea—a simple desire to heal out loud, to help others find their way back to themselves—has grown into something so much bigger. A brand, a community, a movement. But most importantly, a reminder that we are all works in progress, becoming who we were always meant to be.

I think about who I was when I started it. I was rebuilding. I was learning how to be okay with imperfection, how to stop apologizing for taking up space, and how to turn my pain into purpose. I didn’t know exactly where it was going—but I knew it was needed. And somehow, through all the chaos, it became the heartbeat of who I am today.

This morning, I called my mom and thanked her. Twenty-eight years ago, she was probably sick, anxious, and praying I’d arrive safely. And I did. That moment of gratitude grounded me in something simple but profound: I’m here because someone else endured for me. So this month, instead of just telling people I’m grateful, I’m showing it. Through kindness, through patience, through presence. Because real gratitude doesn’t need to be announced—it’s felt.

I’m so thankful to be mentally, emotionally, and spiritually fit enough to give back. To pour into others from a place of peace instead of pain. To help others heal without losing myself in the process. That’s the kind of wellness I always wanted to embody—the kind that radiates from the inside out.

When I think about these past 28 years—and especially the last three—I see so much growth. The kind that doesn’t happen overnight. The kind that hurts and heals at the same time. I’ve learned that becoming isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about remembering who you’ve been all along. It’s about showing up, even when it’s hard. It’s about trusting that every version of you has been leading you here.

This November, I want to live intentionally. To pause more. To notice the sunlight through the trees. To laugh with people who make my soul feel light. To thank the ones who’ve stayed. To breathe in gratitude instead of rushing through moments that deserve to be felt. I want to honor the girl who started Becoming U Wellness—scared but determined. I want to honor the woman I’ve become—steady, grounded, grateful. And I want to honor what’s still unfolding—because the journey never ends.

So here’s to November.

Here’s to another year of becoming—

More patient, more peaceful, more you.

Here’s to three years of Becoming U Wellness, and to every soul it’s touched along the way.

And here’s to the woman who’s still learning, still growing, still giving thanks for every lesson that shaped her.

✨ Because the truest form of gratitude is becoming the person your past self prayed for.

With gratitude,

Jackie 🤎
